Recently, I went 30 days without sugar, and I had some really powerful effects almost immediately. I’ve done this in my life many many times in general, I consume very little processed sugar. I decided to go super strict for a month and the usual things happened.
- I certainly released several pounds of water and fat retentive weight and inflammation.
- Pain in my joints went down significantly.
- My skin was clear.
- My thoughts were much more focused.
- I didn’t crave other food that were crappy.
- In general, my mood was stable.
I’m a pretty even-keeled human. It’s been reported that sugar is more addictive than heroin. I can’t speak to that from experience…
This might sound dramatic, but it might be something that you want to try.
- Greatly reduce all packaged food.
- Start reaching for colorful variety in organic fruits and vegetables.
- Drink lots of water.
- Move your heart.
- Lift weights.
- Before you reach for that sugary snack, have a glass full of water or two. Most folks think they’re hungry when they’re super dehydrated and thirsty.
Kate Austin and I have an education platform where we guide people through health journeys and really powerful ways to create change. Kate is a Tony-Robbins trained strategic intervention coach and has her masters in NLP, which is neurolinguistic programming. And I am studying for my functional medicine cert at IIN, which is the Institute for Integrative medicine. We’ve nurtured a really strong community and a powerful program around many of the challenges that folks face with health and living a life they truly love, and we’d be happy to help you.
