Well, this one’s a pretty groovy switch-up. One of the most powerful parts of gratitude is switching “I got to do this” to “I get to do this.” My son actually, Oliver, will sometimes catch me. Like, I’ll be like, “Oh, I gotta go here.” And he’s like, “You got to or you get to?” I mean, come on being schooled by my son on the fine points of gratitude.
So, look in your life where you can switch.
“I got to go to the gym.” No, “I get to go to the gym.”
“I got to go get groceries.” No, you get to go get groceries.
“I got to go for a walk.” No, no, you get to go for a walk.
How profound and how groovy would your life be if everything was “I get to,” not “Oh, I got to.”?
Then gratitude’s just sitting right there tickling you, making you smile.
All day long. Gratitude. Yeah.
