Do you want to live a long life?
Do you want to live a healthy life?
Do you want to go after your dreams?
“Researchers say that people over 50 years old who volunteer for about two hours weekly have a considerably lower risk of death. They’re also less likely to develop physical impairments and exercise more frequently. All of these benefits naturally lead to a stronger overall well-being versus people who do not volunteer” (Roshgadol, 2020)
Being a part of a community beats everything else in terms of longevity.
“Humans are social creatures by nature. Perhaps this is why our minds and bodies are rewarded when we give to others” (Kim, 2020).
- Get creative in your ways of being connected.
- Look up retirement homes and volunteer in person.
- Focus on something bigger than yourself.
- This is the way to fulfillment and happiness.
Being of service in the community is the biggest foundational piece for longevity.
